International Nightfever Weekend

What to expect

At the International Nightfever Weekends, you have the chance to meet other young people and young adults, make new friends and network with the other Nightfever teams from all over the world.

Our key speakers will give you new impulses for your (faith) life and in the common times of prayer you can deepen your relationship with Christ and get to know him better and better.

The International Nightfever Weekend will begin on Friday, 4th October at 6:00 pm with the Holy Mass and will end on Sunday, 6th October after lunch.

Friday, 4th October 2019

From 4:00 pm: Welcome and check in at the seminary
6:00 pm: Holy Mass in the Michaelskirche
7:00 pm: procession with prayer at the grave of St. Boniface
8:00 pm: Rhöner Abend (evening with traditional food, music, culture)
11:00 pm: compline in the cathedral

Saturday, 5th October 2019

8:00 am: morning prayer in the cathedral, followed by breakfast
9:30 am: talk „Mission first“ with Maggie Pautler (FOCUS) and Gunnar Sornek (Lifeteen)
10:30 am: workshops
12:00 pm: lunch
1:30 pm: praise and worship in the seminary chapel
2:30 pm: workshops
6:30 pm: Nightfever Mass with Auxiliary Bishop Prof. Karlheinz Diez in the Stadtpfarrkirche
7:45 – 11:30 pm: Nightfever in the Stadtpfarrkirche
9:00 pm: catechesis with Auxiliary Bishop Prof. Karlheinz Diez
11:30 pm: compline
12:30 – 8:00 am: adoration in the seminary chapel

Sunday, 6th October 2019

8:00 am: morning prayer in the cathedral, followed by breakfast
10:00 am: Holy Mass in the cathedral
11:00 am: Father James Mallon „Send me, Lord! How do I live with the Holy Spirit?“
12:00 pm: lunch

Accommodation, catering, how to get there

During the time of the international Nightfever Weekend we will stay in the seminary in Fulda (Eduard-Schick-Platz 5, 36037 Fulda). Accommodation is in shared rooms. Please bring a sleeping pad and a sleeping bag (if it’s not possible for you please let us know). If you are not want to stay in the seminary, please look for accommodation yourself.

At the International Nightfever Weekend you will get full board, which means breakfast, lunch and dinner, vegetarian on request. Unfortunately, we can not take any consideration for food intolerance. Please take care of your own food, which you can store in the kitchen. Please note this when you register.

The seminary is centrally located in Fulda and is easy to reach. From the main station you can walk to the seminary in 15 minutes but you can also take the bus. The nearest airport is Frankfurt Airport International. From there you can easily reach Fulda by train.


The Nightfever Weekend is open for teenagers and young adults between 16 and 35 years until 2nd October. If you register by the 15th of August, you pay only 30 Euro for the Weekend, afterwards it costs 40 Euro.
