Welcome to Nightfever
in Dublin!

Open Church - Open Heart
Nightfever

The church is young!

You can experience this at Nightfever in St. Teresa’s Church.

The night starts at 6:00 pm with the Holy Mass. Then we open the doors of the church. Everyone is invited to come to church, to spend some time with candle light and music, to light a candle and to get in touch with others.

At Nightfever, we want to create an atmosphere that encourages reflection, prayer and meeting – with God and with other young Christians.
The reason for the first Nightfever was the World Youth Day 2005 in Cologne: We want to pass on what we have experienced ourselves: the experience of God’s presence, the enthusiasm for faith and the joy of sharing this with others.

You are invited! Come and leave, as you want!

Take a break from your everyday life. Come to Nightfever!

It is amazing how many people who had not been in a church for a long time, came in after a little encouragement to light a candle, and three or four people were just overwhelmed by the calmness and presence, and it was a profound experience for them.
Brian
People say things like it that was such a beautiful experience, the music was lovely, and they are all so grateful for being invited in to take that time out to pray.
Gene
It was good to take the time out to remember my loved ones.
Niamh
A beautiful night, thank you.
Patrick
I found this at the perfect moment, when I needed it most. Thank God for this event!

Volunteering

We're looking forward to see you!

Nightfever nights are organised entirely by young volunteers. There are many different activities where we always need additional assistance.

Anybody can play a part in Nightfever using his unique abilities. Whether it is by playing music, inviting people in pedestrian zones, receiving visitors at the church, or setting up the music system. You are free to first get a taste of different activities without any obligation. Just help out spontaneously or contact us beforehand.

And don’t worry: Helping out is not a fulltime job! Donate as much of your time as you are able to and would like to do. You are already helping out a lot if you just assist us for maybe an hour during a Nightfever night. If you’d like to find out more about volunteering, send us a message through the contact form below. Our Facebook page posts regular updates about our upcoming events.

Monkey Business

You want to get to know young people who live their religious faith?
You want to know more about the faith and grow in the faith? Then you are exactly right in the Nightfever Academy.

Since 2011 there is the Nightfever Academy as a continuative option of the Nightfever Initiative. Besides individual daytime-events we once a year offer Academy-days, usually taking place from Wednesday to Saturday. Previously, study days to the Holy Pope John Paul II., to his Theology of the Body, but also to Romano Guardini and to the Eucharist as food of immortality were already held.

In addition to lectures, discussions, common prayer, worship and community there is always a lot of fun, as well. To get a better impression, you can watch the video of the Nightfever Academy 2015.

The book on Nightfever
Monkey Business

Since its origin from the World Youth Day 2005 the Nightfever Initiative has become one of the future-promising breakups in the Catholic Church and is considered a successful model of new-evangelization.

Which theological and philosophical insights follows the Nightfever Initiative? On which intellectual and spiritual fundaments is it based? What is its spiritual significance for the presence?
The book on Nightfever wants to provide information about the theological and philosophical foundations of Nightfever.

With contributions by Peter van Briel, Hanna-Barbara Gerl-Falkovitz, Cardinal Joachim Meisner, Hanns Gregor Nissing, Joseph Ratzinger/Pope Benedict XVI., Christian Schmitt, Jörg Splett, Andreas Süß, Robert Vorholt, Katharina Westerhorstmann, Markus Wittal, Karol Wojtyla/Hl. Pope John Paul II.
